Oooooooooo !!!!.....now doesn't that look scrumptious !!

An X-E2 with a decent EVF styled like a DSLR ??

Read somewhere recently of a new camera coming with a 54 mgpxl sensor ??....though
it was thought to be from Sony ????????

the fn button is also the Wi-Fi button. I wonder what the price will be. hopefully it won't be as horrendously priced as the Df!!!

So as Fuji have done in the past, will this be another Nikon based product a rework of the Df .
Move on with photography, next will be a bellows camera with A/F and medium size sensor or a plate size sensor that plugs in to an i-phone.
Lets stop going back and move on.
Or has it come full circle?

Good point by Graysta. As the technology moves on, so do styles, fashion and expectations. If the current vogue is for cameras to look like cameras of old, then so be it. It's what's inside that counts, and how that helps the photographer realise his vision. Personally, I love the retro styling being applied to modern cameras, I'm a huge aesthetic fan of the DF, Olympus and Fuji products. But what I'm not a fan of is currently what's inside. The DF is an overpriced attempt to cash in on this current vogue. Nikon missed the plot by having it a mix of re-hashed workings, and got the balance, and cost point wrong. Olympus and Fuji sensors are too small for my line of work - I need full frame or medium format. I am tempted by a number of their cameras for my 'take everywhere in my pocket' as they are better than the one I have now, and look a whole lot better. But not suitable for my day job.

So I will be very interested to see what this new Fuji has inside, and whether they are moving things on or not.

Bit more news on this one.....

It is based on the XE-2, with a 2.36mp EVF, 16mp sensor, & slightly smaller body.

Price 1300euros, so about 1070, for the body.....so add your lens of choice, but
will probably be bundled with the 18-55.....so we're looking at about 1500 all in ???

Roll on 28th Jan !!!Grin

I have a lot of time for Fuji especially as they don't always follow the trends in digital processing and have never entered the pixel race.
I'm very impressed with their EXR technolgy as fitted to my X-10 and their JPeg IQ is second to none IMO. Fuji optics seem to be a cut above the rest and that really does make me weigh up my options for a future change of direction. Give it time and just like the grossly over expensive Olympus OM-D which entually dropped to more sensible prices, the Fuji is bound to follow as it seems most cameras do.

Bit more info.......

Looks like the European price has settled at 1600 euros, or 1311, for the body plus the
18-55 lens !!!!

Looking better all the time, & I'm drooling over this piece of perfection !!.Grin
