Fujifilm UK is now officially known as Fujifilm Imaging Solutions - UK after announcing back in January that its Photo Imaging, Electronic Imaging and Optical Devices business divisions would merge under one new unit.

Commenting today in a press release, Fujifilm said: The newly established Imaging Solutions UK business division, which launched on 1 April 2021, brings together all of Fujifilm UK's existing photography divisions under one brand. The new Imaging Solutions UK division launches alongside a global change at Fujifilm Holdings, in Tokyo, Japan, with the Photo Imaging Products Division and the Optical Device & Electronic Imaging Products Division integrated into a new Imaging Solutions Division, also effective on 1 April 2021.

This strategic change and new exciting future direction for Fujifilm UK's photography business sees the marketing, sales, service, technical support and operations teams behind instax, photo printing, X Series, GFX and FUJINON now combined, under the leadership of Theo Georghiades, appointed as General Manager of the Imaging Solutions UK team. The ethos of Imaging Solutions UK aims to celebrate and connect the community of photography at all levels, from photography and videography to printing and image sharing services.

Theo Georghiades, General Manager of Fujifilm Imaging Solutions - UK said: "Fujifilm is deeply rooted within the photography industry in the UK, whether our customers are shopping directly with us or through one of our high street or independent photo retailers, or watching the latest cinema release filmed on our FUJINON lenses. With easing lockdowns in the coming months, creating memories through photography will be more important than ever, and across our new Imaging Solutions UK team we are all about inspiring camera users everywhere - professionals and amateurs alike - to connect with their creativity."

Yoshi Nakamura, Managing Director of Fujifilm UK said:  "By combining our existing divisions into one, and with this new future direction being reflected across Fujifilm at a global level, our colleagues who were previously working within separate teams can share knowledge, valuable experience and resources to become a more effective and lean business unit. Through the establishment of Fujifilm Imaging Solutions UK, we can now truly demonstrate the value Fujifilm brings to creative industries across our diverse portfolio as we approach the market as one unified imaging brand."
