The Fujifilm XF 100-400 f/4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR lens gives the equivalent of 152-609mm in 35mm terms, which can be extended further to the equivalent of 213-853mm when using the 1.4x Teleconvertor. The lens features 21 elements, in 14 groups, with 9 rounded aperture blades. There are 5 ED elements, plus 1 super ED elements, as well as fluorine coating. The lens is weather and dust resistant, and has a lens hood that comes with a slide window for adjusting a circular polarising or other rotating filters.

I am considering this lens. I have four Fuji X lenses, all superbly sharp, if bit expensive. I now use my Fuji X system much more than my EOS due to weight and I'm not getting younger. Still prefer the EOS for sports, macro and some NH though due to that tiny shutter/viewfinder lag.

I got one a couple of months ago when there was a cashback deal and Wex have 2 years no-interest finance on it. The cashback is gone now, but the finance is still going. It is a big lens and quite heavy, but I find it easy to get sharp shots at all focal lengths hand-held. 400mm at 1/30 sec still amazes me.
