We had a hands-on look at the new Fujifilm Fujinon XF 8-16mm f/2.8 R LM WR lens due to be released next year, and on Fujifilm's latest XF lens roadmap, as a new ultra-wide angle zoom lens, that is weather-sealed. Shown below, next to the 16mm f/1.4 R WR prime lens.

A beast, and with no OIS. Haven't they learned the lesson from XF 16-55/2.8! Many complaints about the lack of image stabilisation. Maybe it's because the rumour about a camera body with IBIS is true.

Still I think it's a bad decision not to include OIS. Fuji claimed bad influence on IQ when they defended not to add OIS to the 16-55 lens. What about pictures in poor light where ISO must be cranked up to be able to chose a safe shutter speed. Is that not bad for IQ?
