Girl & Husky Photo Awarded Photo Of The Week

A charming image of a girl with a husky has been awarded the Photo of the Week accolade this week. 

The image, entitled 'A new winter friend' by DVfoto was chosen by the team here at ePz to win the award, and here's why we chose it:

This is a lovely, well posed and indeed composed image of a little girl with a husky dog. The photographer has caught the gaze of both the girl and the dog - something that can be very hard to achieve. 

The dull, wintery browns and greys of the fur and clothing are offset by the girl's rosy cheeks and the brightness of the dog's eyes. The different coloured pupils of the dog add further interest to the shot. 

The blurred background gives a hint of the trees and autumnal leaves behind the subjects, adding a sense of place. This is a fantastic portrait that would look great on the family wall.
