Google has introduced a new app called PhotoScan to help "Scan" photos with your smartphone camera.
The app is available for Android and iOS devices, and features automatic edge detection, perspective correction, and smart rotation. The app also stitches together multiple shots of the image to remove glare and improve the quality of your scans. The technology is said to be based on MIT research designed to reduce glare.
Google is also rolling out updates to the Google Photos app, to include an updated Photo editor with improved auto enhance, 12 new looks (or filter effects), plus advanced editing controls, to adjust light and colour including exposure, contrast, whites, highlight and shadows.
