Google Pixel Fastest Growing Smartphone In USA

Since they were first introduced to the world, Google Pixel smartphones have proven to be very popular with bold statements such as 'the best camera phone ever' getting thrown around by fans. We're now on version 3 of this popular Android device, with number 4 rumoured to be on its way this year, and it seems the Google Pixel's popularity is just going to keep increasing with it now listed as the fastest growing major smartphone brand in America for the 4th quarter of 2018. 

New research, carried out by the Strategy Analytics website, shows that Google Pixel outgrew all of its top ten rivals which includes Apple and Samsung (both who struggled with sales) with an impressive +43% year-on-year growth during the 4th quarter. 

This is even more impressive because, as previous reports have shown, the smartphone shipment market, as a whole, actually declined. There are a few reasons why this could have happened but experts suggest that rather than upgrading as soon as they can, people are now keeping smartphones for longer. Plus, a lack of amazing features are making people think more carefully about getting a new smartphone. 

Strategy Analytics says the reason why consumers are reaching for the Google Pixel, in particular, is that they're searching for something new but we also believe it's the clever technology that's built into their camera systems that's probably grabbing people's attention, too.
