Whitby Abbey

A photographic workshop that will give photographers the chance to capture the very best coastal locations North Yorkshire has to offer will be taking place in September with photographic workshop specialist Image Seen.

Some of the locations the Yorkshire Coastal Treasures workshop visits include the historic fishing port of Whitby, with its dramatic abbey ruins, harbour and atmospheric streets, the pretty little fishing hamlet of Staithes, sweeping Robin Hoods Bay, the rock pools and fantastic formations at Saltwick Bay and the Victorian pier at Saltburn by the Sea.

Commenting on the course, Image Seen says: "Here, the picturesque coastline mingles with idyllic fishing villages giving us plenty of subject matter for some fabulous photography.

Aside of the opportunities presented to work on your composition, use of filters and understanding of light and how it affects your images, there will also be plenty of chance to practice long exposures, making use of ND filters, and for some close-up work on the beaches.  Also, let's not forget, Whitby is reputably home to Britain's best fish and chips!"

The workshop takes place from 8-11 September 2016 and is priced at £440. This includes 3 full days of photographic tuition and demonstrations, all meals and admission to Whitby Abbey.
