Hasselblad, ePHOTOzine, broncolor and Hasselbladstudios ran an all day event for ePHOTOzine members. After a brief introduction to the day, the lighting setup was explained. The first lighting setup in the morning was with the broncolor para fb 220cm - they do larger and smaller versions of this. Katie Green is the model, who started "Say No to Size Zero", you can view her website here.

Some Of The Hasselblad Hardware:

200mp still life setup and demonstration. Examples and more information on the Hasselblad H4D-200ms Multi-shot here.		The Hasselblad H4D-50mp with remote flash trigger takes a break by hanging around in the chill out area upstairs.

Camera and lens introduction / instructions. Happy birthday to Les Knight who came to the day on his 65th birthday! You could take you pick from the Hasselblad H4D 31mp, 40mp, 50mp, or 60mp cameras! Members brought their own memory cards so that they could take the photos home with them, and then edit them later in Phocus - Hasselblad's free RAW image converter - available here.


Many lenses to choose from - from 35mm (0.7x magnification) to 300mm telephoto, including some telephoto zoom lenses.

Some Of The Broncolor Hardware:

broncolor scoro a4s 8fps shooting, see the Chase Jarvas demonstration video (Youtube).		Broncolor Para 220cm, ring light bounces off the silver reflector sections.

The studio gives plenty of space to shoot.


ePHOTOzine members form an orderly queue to shoot Katie.


Talking monitors, colour calibration, and viewing images on EIZO CG275W monitors with built in calibration devices.

Some Of The Lighting Setups:

Another lighting setup with front light, rear flutter (with barn doors), reflector, to give rim lighting from the back. Chris Burfoot from broncolor sets up the lighting and explains the effect produced and how best to shoot the subject.		High contrast lighting setup. Some members dropped in for a few hours, while others stayed all day.

Back stage Katie Green gets ready for the next shoot, making sure her make-up is perfect, as you can certainly see all the detail at 31, 50 or 60 megapixels!


The final shoot, at around 4.30pm things started shutting down, with the Hasselblad team putting away all the equipment, making sure the studio was ready for the next shoot.
