| DJI Mavic 2 Zoom in Drones
The awesome COOPH team, who have put together tonnes of amazing photography technique videos, have got their hands on the brand-new DJI Mavic 2 Zoom drone and they've shared their first thoughts, as well as a few sample images captured with the new aerial device, with us.
The Mavic 2 Zoom is similar in appearance and build to its predecessor; the Mavic Pro, but it comes with many more features. Taking the tracking modes from other models such as the Mavic Air, the Mavic 2 offers the best of both worlds. It even boasts a whole range of entirely unique settings; a built-in zoom lens, automated hyperlapse functions, more gimbal tilt and obstacle avoidance sensors facing in six different directions. It's powered by a 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor and features 2x optical zoom (24-48mm) with two-times digital zoom to simulate a 96mm telephoto lens that captures lossless video in full HD resolution.
You can shoot 12-megapixel photos or take advantage of the new Super Resolution feature that uses optical zoom to automatically capture and stitch nine photos together to create a 48-megapixel image.

The COOPH team were lucky enough to spend a few days testing out the 'Zoom' edition so they headed for the mountains and put the drone to the test above Austria's pristine alpine lakes. You can see what their first thoughts are on the new drone in the video above where they also share more information on its features.
As well as the Mavic 2 Zoom, DJI also announced the Mavic 2 Pro that features a Hasselblad camera and a foldable design. Other features include a more stable video transmission system, Hyperlapse, ActiveTrack and up to 31-minutes of flight time. Housing a 1-inch CMOS sensor with a 10-bit Dlog-M colour profile, the camera captures four times as many levels of colour per channel compared to Mavic Pro and the Mavic 2 Pro can also capture 20-megapixel aerial shots. An adjustable aperture from f/2.8-f/11 provides more control across a wide variety of lighting conditions and the Hasselblad Natural Colour Solution (HNCS) technology keeps colours accurate.
