The Antiparos International Photo Festival, which takes place on the tiny Greek island of Antiparos, has announced that photographer Pol Curucz and Kolor Collective are to headline the event.
The series Pol Curucz will be showcasing is titled 'ZONES' and each image in the collection has a distinctive design/message. Shooting took place in the collective's studio in the heart of Rio de Janeiro, in apocalyptic suburban junkyards, palaces and other epic locations. ZONES is inspired by current social issues, Brazil’s underground drag scene, local fashion designers, and artists.

The result is a consciously disharmonious samba of glamour and trash. Central to the collective’s principles is questioning normality and exposing the dangers of forced conformity. Pol comes from a multi-minority family and has always had an inner urge to speak against dogmas, preconception, and majority bias - something he shares with his collective of local artists and art producers.
The festival runs from 1-10 July 2017 and takes place in the surroundings of a 15th-century Venetian castle.
