Honor, the budget-friendly brand that's part of the Huawei family, has released a new reasonably priced smartphone that features a 24MP f/2.0 selfie camera built into a tiny top notch so the screen-to-body ratio is better than ever.

Based on the flagship HONOR 10, the HONOR 10 Lite is a power-packed device at an affordable price.

The AI-powered 24MP camera found in the Honor 10 Lite recognises over 200 scenarios across 8 categories. and the AI-powered algorithm can identify different environments instantly. The HONOR 10 Lite cameras can also capture more light in low lit conditions, thanks to the 4-in-1 light fusion technology. The front camera also offers 3D facial recognition and portrait lighting with five different lighting effects (like we've seen on Apple devices over the last few years). On the back is a 13MP f/1.8 + 2MP f/2.4 rear camera so users will be able to create bokeh in their portraits and built-in AIS night mode means hand-held shots, with up to 6-second exposure lengths, can be captured.

As for the FullView HD screen, it measures 6.21-inch (2340x1080p) and thanks to the small dewdrop top notch, pushes the screen-to-body ratio measures beyond 90%. This brings smartphones one step closer to an almost bezel-less design with the Honor 10 Lite also having a very small chin (4.7mm) at the bottom of the device. The smaller chin also means that the Honor 10 Lite keeps a compact body size usually seen on smartphones with a 5.2-inch display.

32/64GB versions of the smartphone are available with either 3,4 or 6GB of RAM and a 3400mAh battery is built-in along with a headphone jack.

The Honor 10 Lite is powered by EMUI 9.0 and Android 9 and will be available for £199.99 in Sky Blue, Sapphire Blue and Midnight Black from today.

We're currently working on our review of the Honor 10 Lite but do take a look at our hands-on where we give our first impressions of the new smartphone.
