HP
have updated their flatbed scanner range with three new offerings for home and
office users. Affordable and easy to use, these new scanners offer sophisticated
software and fast scanning times.
The HP Scanjet 4570 lets you preserve and share memories by scanning photos, text, graphics and 3D objects and then printing, e-mailing or posting them on the Web. Delivering scans up to 2400 dpi and requiring no warm up time, HP say their Scanjet 4570 lets you see your scans in only four seconds. With the flexible software and five one-touch buttons you can scan straight to CD, and even create slide shows set to music.
In a small office, the HP Scanjet 4500c's landscape design means it will fit in anywhere. This versatile digital flatbed scanner benefits from a USB 2.0 high-speed connector and seven one touch buttons, allowing material to be scanned straight to the web, a CD or email at the touch of a button. This combination of ease of use and speed is reflected throughout the range.
Like the 4570c, the new Scanjet 5550c scans to 2400 dpi and 48-bit colour and delivers small office and home office users fast, high-quality results at a low price. In addition, it features an automatic, hands free document feeder capable of holding up to 35 pages at eight pages per minute.
In addition, the HP Scanjet 5550c employs advanced document software (PaperPort
Deluxe 8.0) enabling users to convert documents to electronic text using the
OCR (Optical Character Recognition) software as well as manage scanned documents,
Word files, spreadsheets, PDF files and digital photos.
Both scanners feature the HP Photo & Imaging application, which provides
users with a range of tools and creative options from a single software interface
across the whole range of new HP digital-imaging products.
