HTC has announced two new smartphones, the HTC U11+ and HTC U11 Life with improved designs.
| HTC U11+ in Camera PhonesThe HTC U11+ is based on the U11, but with a larger 6inch 18:9 aspect ratio screen, larger 3930mAh battery, and a new design, that includes a transparent black option.
The camera remains the same, with a 12mp f/1.7 lens, with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), but HTC say they have improved this even further. The camera features phase detection auto focus (PDAF), and HDR Boost for high dynamic range photograph. The camera records 4K video, with 360 audio recording, as well as slow-motion FullHD video at 120fps.
There's a new 8mp f/2.0 front camera. The smartphone has "Edge Sense" so that you can squeeze the phone, for example to take a photo, or launch other apps. It's also got an IP68 waterproof rating, meaning it's waterproof down to 1.5m for 30 minutes.
The HTC U11+ runs Android 8.0, and will be available for pre-order from 20th November, priced at £699 sim-free.
The HTC U11 Life updates the HTC U Play. The HTC U11 Life features a 16mp f/2.0 camera, with Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) and 4K video recording, as well as HDR Boost, and a 16mp f/2.0 front camera. The phone is IP67 - splash and dust proof, and features a 5.2inch FullHD screen. It also runs Android One 8.0. The phone also features Edge Sensors so you can squeeze the phone to launch apps.
The U11 Life is available for pre-order for £349 now.
