Grand Masters

Damian McGillicuddy was one of only three photographers to be made an inaugural Grand Master of the Societies at their 2012 convention in London.

"I can't describe how proud and emotional I felt to be made a Grand Master," explained Damian. "I was totally blown away! I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Mr Phil Jones, CEO of the Societies, all the Jones family, staff and members."

The other two recipients of the award were George Dawber and Aled Oldfield.

Unfortunately the 'societies' make up and hand out awards and titles like confetti.

The icing on the cake was Phil Jones wife (the other director of the money making business that this company is as they are not a society they are a profit making limited company) awarding her husband a lifetime achievement award!

I think I'll invent an amazing bloke award and give it to myself next week Tongue Wink

Congratulations to The Big Dog. A worthy accolade to a guy at the top of his profession, and who believes in giving back to it by developing the skills of hundreds if not thousands of his colleagues.
