Instructions On Uploading Images To The ePz Forums - You can now upload images to ePHOTOzine's forums. If you don't know how to do this, follow these steps.

First Step

When you find a forum topic you want to add a photo to, the first thing you'll see is the comments / photos posted by other members, as well as the person's comment who started the thread. In the Photo Month forum, for example, this would usually be myself, nik111, introducing the day's topic which will then be followed by photos posted by various members.

The page will look something like this:

Find The Comment Box

Next, if you're adding a comment rather than creating a new topic, scroll to the bottom of the page where you'll find the 'Add a Comment' box.

This is what it looks like:

Add a comment

If Creating A New Topic

If you're creating a new topic you won't need to scroll to the bottom of the page as the comment box will already be at the top of the page like this:

New Topic

Adding A Photo

To add a photo, click the sixth icon from the left, it looks like a small polaroid with a + icon over it.

Here's the icon:
Upload Photo Icon

Click the icon and a box will open which says 'Upload An Image'. To upload an image, click the Browse icon, find your image and hit the 'open' button.

Note: You'll also notice a Select tab and this is where you can see photos that you've previously uploaded to that specific forum so it will be empty until you've posted your first shot.

Find Your Photo

Next, press the 'Upload image' button and wait for the image to be uploaded.

In The Add A Comment Box

You won't be able to see the image yet, however you will see that the image's name has appeared in the 'Add a Comment' box with [epzimg] [/epzimg] around it. You can add text above and below this to change where the image appears in the post.

Image added

Final Step

If you want to preview the photo before you post it, click 'Preview' otherwise you can click 'Add' and your image will now be posted in the forum.

Thank you nik111

That's a great help..... I did manage to upload to the 'flare' topic eventually despite making the mistake of adding my comment to the photo seperately, this clears up the confusion completely.
I'm sure there will be others who find it useful.
Many thanks again Smile

Not currently, but we've built a new system that's just being tested at the moment that will make this possible Smile

Is there an email address I can send the photo to a particular forum. I have IOS 5 on an iPad 3 and it doesn't allow me to "Chose A Photo" to upload.

Hiya David,

Not currently, no.

You have to go into the forum and manually add the image yourself.

I followed your uploading instructions to the 'T' and posted one image each in Show Us Your Shots Of Shadows, Autumn Reflections and Autumn Landscapes but can not see any of them in the forum. Is there a blank period during which they are moderated or something?
