iPrintPhoto Photo Product Software

To make any of iPrintPhoto's products, you first need to download the software on to your computer. This means you can create your photobook, calendar, mug, or whatever else you've chosen to make, at home and offline, so you don't have to worry about the internet crashing and your project vanishing with it. There's a version of the software for both Mac and PC and due to the size of the file, it can take a while to download. So set it going, go make a cup of tea and have a look in your image folders for shots you want to use on your photo products while it's downloaded.



When it comes to designing your product, there's a genie installed in the software that gives you helpful hints if you're using the software for the first time but even without the genie's help, it wasn't hard to work out what did what.

Designs are already in places on your pages / mug but you don't have to use these and they are easily changed for one of the other templates on offer. If you don't want to use the templates, you can edit them to create your own, unique design. On the mug for example, we didn't like the orientation of the images so moved the image boxes around and extended the text box slightly.

It's very easy to spend quite a long time working on your project, playing with all the features the software offers. It really does give you many, many ways to make your design unique. A nice touch with the calendar design is the ability to add important dates such as birthdays to the calendar's pages as you design it.

When you are finished, simply click the trolley icon so you can pay securely online. You can check your product before you order and once you've made your payment, the company send an email almost instantly to say they had received it along with information about the order. The calendar only took three days to arrive with the mug taking a little longer to be delivered.

We created an A4 Portrait Calendar and were very impressed with the final results. The paper the calendar's printed on is thick and of good quality and the images have printed well. The boxes you write in are a little on the small side so you may want to look at another calendar design if you have large handwriting.

iPrintPhoto Mug

Mugs are priced at £9.99 and arrive in a box which is well protected by bubble wrap. The images on the mug are printed well and so is the text. We even used one from a mobile phone and the shot's come out better than expected. There are care instructions available online for the mugs but the company also places a leaflet inside your mug to make sure you don't miss them. Overall, we're very happy with the result.
