Irix has created a kit for Astrophotography fans which includes a lens and filter combo, in 3 mount options, that's been introduced with a special offer. 

The Irix 15mm f/2.4 Blackstone lens and the Irix Edge Light Pollution filter are combined to bring a kit that's ideal for capturing photos at night. Plus, the set includes a hard case so the lens/filter is protected during transportation. 

Irix 15mm f/2.4 Blackstone

The Irix 15mm f/2.4 Blackstone lens features a 95mm filter thread and is also full weather/dust sealed. Communication with the camera (AE) means that the aperture is controlled electronically (semi-automatic modes are available) and the exposure data is saved in EXIF format. The lens was designed with features specifically for astrophotography such as Infinity Click - the lens communicates with a click setting, and corrects focus to infinity - and Focus Lock, which locks the focusing ring in a specific position  (which reduces the risk of an accidental change of focus). In addition, the markings are filled with UV-reactive paint which improves their readability, especially at night.

Irix Edge Light Pollution filter 

The 95mm Irix Edge Light Pollution filter reduces yellow light so your images captured at night have more accurate colours. It's also durable and features a NANO coating to help keep it clean. Both sides of the filter are covered by a multi-layer anti-reflective coating, which guarantees clear images without any flare and dust won't stick to it thanks to the water and oil repellent coating.
