Irix is expanding its filter portfolio with a new product that's perfect for low light city landscapes or for when you're taking photos of the night sky.
| Irix EDGE Light Pollution Filter in Filters
The Irix Edge Light Pollution Filter is designed to improve contrast, overall sharpness, clarity and colours in images by removing the yellowish haze emitted by sodium lamps at night.
The new filter is available in 67mm, 72mm, 77mm, 82mm and 95mm sizes and is a great tool for when capturing low light city landscapes or photos of the night sky.
It's the first filter to be featured in the Super Endurance series where the optical glass has been subjected to a special thermal treatment to increase durability; in addition, both surfaces of the filter have been covered by coatings that further increase the overall strength of the entire filter surface as well as minimise unwanted reflections. Plus, a NANO coating stops dirt adhering to the surface and the frame is constructed from aluminium so it's lightweight and the black coating on it minimises flare.
Prices start at 95 Euros and more information can be found on the Irix website.
