That actually looks fun to use and looks like it was fun to design, love the detailing shown above - superb. Perhaps not to too heavy either.
Usually i'd avoid my ugly looking tripod, but this would make me want to take one with me.

In who's world does 249.99 mean "budget tripod"?

249, budget! Knock 200 of that and I'll call it budget. 249 is very expensive. Looks interesting though.

Looks good, but you certainly need a new definition of "budget".

Budget in relation to their other products perhaps. I've always ruled out these guys on price - that and I'm not convinced about the stability of a 4 section tripod. I'm sure it's all very nice, but still that's a lot of cash for something I'd use and abuse. I'll stick to buying good second hand tripods for about 50 and then using them to destruction... sea water pretty much destroys all it touches.

Looking at the image on the video.

Just wondering what benefit there is in shooting tethered, outdoors in the woods with the camera attached to an inverted centre column ?
or perhaps why !

There are lots of good, alloy travel tripods out there with similar specs and half the price but they don't come with a laptop... Wink

Hefty price indeed and needs putting through its paces to justify it. Reminds me of the Bembo that could go anywhere and as tough as a tank but alas weighed about the same.
