Joby Gorillapod Micro 250 Handling
Small enough that when compacted it can be left on the bottom of the camera and still fit in the camera's (compact) case. When used with the Canon Powershot S100 or S95 it fit very nicely in a Lowepro Rezo 10 case.![]() |

Joby Gorillapod Micro 250 Performance
The tripod is screwed on easily, then when you reach the tightest point, pulling the legs will open the tripod up so you can start using it. When the tripod is placed on a table the camera can be easily positioned so you can get the shot you are looking for.
Gorillapod Micro 250
The only problem I found was when closing the tripod legs as it made it easy to unscrew the tripod from the camera. As a result, using a screwdriver or coin to tighten the tripod to the camera would be recommended.
Value for money
When I looked for somewhere to buy this tripod I was shocked to see that most places were listing it as £35 in the UK. Luckily it's now available from Amazon and other stores for £19.99 with free postage. This makes it more expensive than other pocket tripods with the Manfrotto Pocket Support Small available for around £15, and others available for less.Joby Gorillapod Micro 250 Verdict
The Gorillapod Micro 250 may be slightly expensive but it sure is small and extremely useful. A number of times I've been in a poorly lit building and wanted to take a photo of something and needed a tripod or something to support the camera so that I could use the self-timer. There's not always something suitable to use as a support and this tripod has been excellent, especially as it fits in the camera's case. I could very easily get used to this being permanently fixed to the bottom of my camera too.![]() |
