Kodak has announced that it is to exit the consumer printer business.

The news comes as Kodak puts in motion plans to re-emerge into the market next year with a re-organised structure.

It will now focus on commercial, packaging and functional printer solutions, continuing its sales of inkjet cartridges but winding down its sales of consumer inkjet printers.

The company has made substantial progress to re-emergence, but its case is long and complex. The company has already announced the successful stabilisation of the business.
