Kodak has announced that it is to sell off its film and paper division.
The news comes as Kodak aims to restructure its business around printing. In an interview with BJP
, Kodak CEO and Chairman Antonio M Perez said: "The initiation of a process to sell the Personalized Imaging and Document Imaging businesses is an important step in our company's reorganization to focus our business on the commercial markets and enable Kodak to accelerate its momentum toward emergence."
It is still not confirmed as to whether or not the buyer will be able to use the Kodak name when they buy the division.
It was recently suggested that Kodak is back in the black for the first time since it went under, showing that the move towards printing was perhaps a good one, but this remains to be seen.
