The Kraszna-Krausz Foundation has announced the two winners of the 2013 book awards.
The awards are the UK’s leading prizes for books published in the fields of photography and the moving image. The winners, who share a £10,000 prize, are:
Best Photography Book Award
: War / Photography: Images of Armed Conflict and Its Aftermath by Anne Wilkes Tucker, Will Michels and Natalie Zest (Yale University Press)
Best Moving Image Book Award
: Hollywood Costume by Deborah Nadoolman Landis (V&A Publishing)
In addition, the Kraszna-Krausz Foundation presented Thames & Hudson Chairman Thomas Neutrath with its Outstanding Contribution to Photography award and Paul Salveson received the National Media Museum First Book Award.
The winners were announced at the Sony World Photography Awards Gala Ceremony held in London. The KKF Book Awards have been a proud partner of the Sony World Photography Awards – one of the world’s largest photography competitions – since 2011.
