Laowa 14mm f/4 Zero-D DSLR

Venus has introduced a new reasonably priced wide-angle lens for full-frame DSLR cameras that's available in Canon EF and Nikon F mounts.

The Venus Laowa 14mm f/4 Zero-D, not to be confused with the previously launched Laowa 14mm f/4 FF RL Zero-D, features a 115° angle of view with “Zero-Distortion” and a very short minimum focusing distance for exaggerated perspective and creamy bokeh.

The 14mm f/4 Canon EF mount is chipped to be automatic in aperture and users can now control the aperture in-camera and record all the metadata in the EXIF. It is also compatible with 67mm filters and the focusing scale is adjustable for users to fine-tune its working distance according to the deviation of the flange range of their own cameras.

Laowa lenses are currently available on Amazon in various focal lengths and mounts with the Venus Laowa 14mm f/4 Zero-D having a price point of around $500.
