We have a hands-on look at the new Laowa STF 105mm f/2 portrait lens, designed to give sharp images with beautiful backgroun blur, thanks to an adjustable smooth trans focus (STF) section in the lens, which you can see in the picture below. The sharpest area in the photo below is the STF aperture stopped down, and behind that is the normal lens aperture blades:
The lens is available in a number of full-frame lens mounts, and should be available to purchase in April. We've also got a number of sample photos from the lens, which you can view below, provided by Laowa. We've previously reviewed the Laowa 15mm lens, and Laowa 60mm Macro lens, so will be reviewing the new Laowa 105mm f/2 as soon as possible.
