of place on the front cover of Issue 25 goes to two Zeiss Contarex models, members
of a group of SLR cameras that many would argue have never been equalled.
Contarex Bullseye - nicknamed the Cyclops because of the large round exposure
meter over the lens - was the first Contarex camera to be manufactured, in the
late 50s and 60s.
The other camera, the Contarex Super, is the rarer of
the two. It was made between 1968 and 1972 and was the first Contarex camera to
offer through the lens metering.

collection from the Jessops Classic Photographica store located opposite the British
