Lee Filters Seven5 range

LEE Filters has launched a new micro filter system.

The Seven5 system has been designed with users of smaller cameras in mind. As such, it is compatible with Compact System Cameras, mirrorless, high-end compacts and DSLRs with small lenses. It comprises a lightweight filter holder, which quickly snaps onto the appropriate size of adaptor ring for the lens in use, allowing the photographer simply to slot in their filter of choice from LEE’s 75 x 90mm range.

Filters have long been recognised as an essential piece of kit for the DSLR user. Photographers who prefer the carry-anywhere convenience of the smaller, lighter cameras, however, have been less well catered for – until now.

The aim of the Seven5 is to offer the photographer control at the moment of capture – as opposed to afterwards in postproduction. With the range of filters including neutral-density grads (both hard and soft), a Polariser and warm-ups, the photographer is able to control contrast, saturation and image tone. The Seven5 is even compatible with the LEE Filters Big Stopper, which, with the camera appropriately braced, allows a ten-stop increase in exposure.

The Seven5 holder can be purchased individually or as a Starter Kit, which contains one filter holder and one 0.6ND (hard) grad. Adaptor rings should be purchased separately and are available in the following lens-thread sizes:37mm, 37.5mm, 39mm, 40.5mm, 43mm, 46mm, 49mm, 52mm, 55mm, 58mm, 60mm, 62mm, 67mm and 72mm.
