We go hands-on with the new Leica DG Elmarit 200mm f/2.8 Power O.I.S lens from Panasonic. The telephoto prime lens features a bright f/2.8 aperture, and gives a 400mm equivalent on Micro Four Thirds cameras. When used with the 1.4x teleconvertor it gives 560mm (f/4) equivalent, or when used with the 2.0x teleconvertor gives a 800mm equivalent.
On the side you'll find a focus limiter switch, function button, AF/MF switch, and Power O.I.S (Optical Image Stabilisation) switch. There is a rotating tripod collar, as well as focus ring, and aperture ring. The minimum focus distance is 1.15meters, and there's a 77mm filter thread. The lens is shown above, with the Panasonic Lumix G9.
