The Leica Summilux-M f/1.4 ASPH. lens has had a redesign to provide even more flexibility for a creative pictorial design.
Whether used for detailed landscape shots, high-contrast pictures in difficult light conditions or subjects in close range with selective focus, the Summilux-M 35 f/1.4 ASPH. will produce extraordinary results. The new design sees aperture blades increased from 9 to 11 for a visibly improved bokeh, as well as the ability to reduce the closest focussing distance from 70cm to 40cm, the latter made possible by a patent-pending double-cam unit, newly developed by Leica engineers to allow the rotation angle of the focus ring to almost double to 176°. The dimensions are almost unchanged, with 2 millimetres added to the diameter, and 2 millimetres removed from the length, with the addition of an integrated round lens hood.
Available in 2 variants at Leica Stores globally, the black variant retails at £4,950.00, and the silver variant retails for £5,100.00.
