The 24-70mm lens from Tamron covers an extremely popular zoom range, and features a bright maximum aperture to boot. Tamron's 24-70mm option stands out as it features Vibration Compensation technology, something which lenses of this zoom range from competing companies lack.

As well as VC to help minimise camera shake at low shutter speeds, this lens has an ultrasonic focusing motor, allowing quick and silent focus. It's available in Canon, Nikon and Sony mounts, making it usable for the vast majority of DSLR photographers.

This lens performs really well, with sharpness in the centre of the frame at 24mm and maximum aperture approaching excellent levels. Zooming in also produces very good clarity of images.
