LG is at IFA 2019, in Berlin, where they have announced the LG G8X ThinQ along with a new LG Dual Screen which, as the name suggests, turns an LG smartphone into a folding-style device.

Since the announcement of the first LG Dual Screen, introduced at MWC 2019 in Barcelona, LG has listened to customer feedback, adding a 2.1-inch Cover Display to the design of the folding smartphone. It also has a new  360 Freestop Hinge to allow for viewing at any angle, just like a laptop whereas the original design only allowed those using it to view the display from two different angles. 

The extra display lets users check the time, date, battery charge, notifications and other useful information without opening the Dual Screen.

As well as the LG Dual Screen, the LG G8X ThinQ smartphone has also been announced with a 6.4-inch display with a waterdrop lens cutout, in-display fingerprint sensor, 32MP selfie camera and a dual rear camera featuring a 12MP Standard f/1.8 lens as well as a 13MP Super-Wide f/2.4 lens.  

Camera modes include the Reflector Mode for better portraits in low light and it lets the user adjust the lighting colour and AI Action Shot compensates for movement with a shutter speed of 1/480 of a second. 

4K Time Lapse lets users create artistic time-lapse videos in 4K resolution while LG Steady Cam provides enhanced image stability and you can also switch between front/rear cameras while filming video. 

Other features include a 4000mAh battery, 6GB RAM/128GB memory and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform chipset.
