A coastal image of a lighthouse in Ireland has been awarded the POTW accolade this week.
The image, by ePz member PMWilliams, is titled 'Fanad Head' and here's why we thought it deserved to win:
This is a lovely capture of Fanad head in Donegal. It's well framed, and the shutter speed used allows you to see the rocks below the turquoise waters. The land jutting out into the frame leads your eye through the image and to the lighthouse on the headland, which stands out against the grey clouds in the sky.
The textures in the rocks and various brown and rusty tones add further interest. Overall, it's a very serene image.
