Photographers who enjoy capturing macro images while travelling should take an interest in the new Befree GT XPRO tripod from Manfrotto with its compact size and 90-degree column.
| Tripods, Monopods and Other Supports
Manfrotto has expanded its Befree tripod range with an aluminium/carbon fibre travel tripod that has a compact design and a 90-degree column that makes close-up photography easier for macro fans.
The Befree GT XPRO comes in the same folded compact size as the Befree GT family (43cm) and features 180-degree foldable legs, twist locks on the legs and side pull selectors so you can choose 1-of-3 leg angles. As for weight, the carbon fibre versions weighs 1.76kg while the aluminium version comes in slightly heavier at 2kg.
The Manfrotto 496 Center Ball Head is compatible with the new tripod and it can support 10kg of photography gear, meaning photographers can use DSLRs or CSCs with zoom lenses attached. The included 200PL-PRO rubberized plate increases camera grip and makes it fully compatible with the Manfrotto RC2 and Arca-type head attachments, too.
Price & Availability
Those wanting to purchase the aluminium Befree GT XPRO will be able to visit the Manfrotto website where it will be priced at £269.95 while the carbon fibre version will be available for £409.95.
