Take a look at this MC HELIOS-44M-4 58mm 1:2 lens that's been crossed with a Nikon AF Nikkor 50mm 1:1.8 lens to give the HELIOS lens autofocus.
| Interchangeable Lenses
There are some weird and wonderful things on the internet and the latest thing to join this list is the MC HELIOS-44M-4 58mm 1:2 lens which has been combined with the original Nikon AF Nikkor 50mm 1:1.8D lens so you get swirly bokeh and a HELIOS lens with autofocus.
The insides of the HELIOS now sit inside the Nikkor lens, leaving the electronics and autofocus intact and the HELIOS label has been attached to the outside of the Nikkor lens - still following?
Here are the main specs of the lens hybrid:
- Nikon F mount
- Optics from MC HELIOS-44M-4 58mm 1: 2
- 52mm filter thread
- MDF approx. 60cm, maximum magnification ratio approx.1: 8
- Auto aperture control & 7 aperture blades
- Aperture ring lock is locked
- Accurate exposure metering
- Nikon systems: FX, AF, NON-D, NON-G lens
- 200g

Lovely pictures from it and the guy who combined it.
Bravo.
(Doesn't Leo_nid use a Nikon? He could find such a Helios prime lens in Russia)
