We take a look at Miggo's Splat tripods, which are available for DSLRs, compacts and GoPro cameras.
| Miggo Splat Flexible Tripod in Tripods, Monopods and Other Supports
The Miggo Splat is a flexible and compact tripod designed for allowing you to balance your camera on uneven surfaces or perch it in a tree for an alternative viewing angle. Here, we take a look at the DSLR and Compact / GoPro versions. The Splat is currently only available in bright blue.
Miggo Splat Features
Both the larger DSLR Splat and the smaller compact camera / GoPro Splat are made from silicone with an inner flexible metal skeleton making them really pliable.
Each also has a brass screw, which connects the tripod to the camera via its tripod socket. If you want to use the Splat with a GoPro, then a special mount is provided.
The DSLR Splat has 3 legs, while the smaller Splat for compacts and GoPros has 5. Both have a hole for the screw head in one of the feet, so the camera can be elevated if you're wrapping the tripod around something.
The tripod's feet all feature patterned silicone for extra grip on slippy surfaces. The Splat DSLR has a max weight load of 1.5KG while the Splat Compact / GoPro has a max weight load of 500g.
Both tripods are designed so that they can also wrap around the camera when it's not in use and can also be used as a handle for a more stable grip when shooting video.
