A monochrome image of a rally car speeding along in the forest has been awarded the Photo of the Week accolade.
The image, entitled 'Alone in the forest' by ePz member dathersmith, stood out to the team and here's why we chose it:
This image is very minimalist yet effective in portraying the subject and getting the atmosphere across. The decision to turn the image monochrome really makes the shape of the car stand out against the blurred background of the forest.
Panning has been used superbly here to get the whole car in focus and create a sense of movement in the background. However, enough detail has been maintained to decipher a couple of trees and some foliage in the background.
The writing on the car is tack sharp, and overall this is an image that any rally fan would happily display on the wall.
