New Moto G6, G6 Plus, G6 Play And Moto E Range

Moto G6 Plus

Motorola has announced the new Moto G6 range, with the top of the range G6 Plus offering a FullHD+ 5.9inch 18:9 screen, 4K video recording, plus what it is calling a "smart camera system".

Moto G6 Plus Features:

• Dual 12mp f/1.7 / 5mp camera
• 5.9inch FullHD+ 18:9 screen
• 8mp selfie camera with LED
• 3200mAh battery

The G6 Play offers a 5.7inch HD+ 18:9 screen, 13mp f/2.0 camera with PDAF and a 4000mAh battery. The standard G6 model features dual 12mp f/1.8 and 5mp cameras, FullHD video, 3000mAh battery, and a 5.7inch FullHD+ screen, but will not be available in the UK.

The smart camera system on the Moto G6 Plus features face-unlock, landmark and object recognition, plus text scanning. Like many other smartphones, it also features selective focus (with a blurred background), selective black and white, and spot colour.

Moto E5 Plus

Motorola also announced an updated range of Moto E phones, the more affordable E5, E5 Plus and E5 Play, feature larger batteries for extended battery life.

• 13mp f/2.0 PDAF
• 4000mAh battery

Moto E5 Plus Features: 

• 6inch 18:9 HD+ screen
• 12mp f/2.0 PDAF / Laser Focus
• 5000mAh battery

• 5.2inch HD screen
• 8mp f/2.0 camera
• 2GB/16GB
• 2800mAh battery (removable)
