Motorola Announce Edge And Edge+ Premium Smartphones

Motorola have announced the Edge and Edge Plus smartphones, both of which offer premium features, with the Edge Plus featuring a 108-megapixel senror main camera and the ability to record 6K video with superior combines OIS and EIS stabilisation.

Motorola Edge

Motorola have announced two new premium smartphones, offering 5G capability a brand new Endless Edge display which wraps almost 90 degrees around both sides of the device. 

The first of these is the Motorola Edge, which has a screen of 6.7 inches for an immersive viewing experience.

It features a triple camera system with a 64-megapixel sensor main camera. Using quad pixel technology, this sensor has 4x the light sensitivity for crisp and clear photos even in low light.

There's also an 8-megapixel telephoto lens and 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. A Macro Vision mode can be accessed to give you 5x closer photos.

The phone is 5G enabled, with a 4500mAh battery which Motorola say can last up to 2 days, and TurboPower charging to give you hours of use in minutes.

6GB RAM and 128GB of built-in memory help to make sure things run smoothly. The Motorola Edge will be available from May 2020 for £549.

Motorola Edge+

The Motorola Edge+ has the same sized screen of 6.7 inches, but it packs a 108-megapixel sensor main camera, which is physically 3x larger than most 12-megapixel sensors. Quad-pixel technology gives it 4x the light sensitivity for shooting in low light conditions, and it features the same 8-megapixel telephoto lens and 16-megapixel ultra-wide lens as the Edge, as well as the Macro Vision mode.

It has combined OIS and EIS for video stabilisation which compensates for motion blur, changing focus and crooked horizons. Motorola say it's the industry's most advanced video stabilisation. The Edge+ can record 6K video, and there's a video snapshot mode which lets you pull out a 20-megapixel still from your video.

There's a 5000mAh battery for this model, and it will be available from May 2020 for $999.99.
