As the latest recruit at ePHOTOzine, I'm looking to better my photography skills through doing an online photography course with MyPhotoSchool. I'll be taking part in the course over the next four weeks, and I'll be writing a weekly diary about how I get on.
MyPhotoSchool is an online photography website that offer a range of photography courses, covering everything from general subjects like 'Getting the Best Out of Your Digital Camera' and 'Light and Exposure' to more specific courses covering anything from 'Photographing Cats and Dogs' to 'Food Photography'. The price for most of the courses is £145.
You can choose what level of photographer you are and specify what type of course you are looking for, to get a list of the courses that are ideal for you. Then all that's left to do is decide which one you'd like to take part in most! When you've decided, you'll get access to MyClassRoom, where your tutor is on hand to help, with a weekly tutorial video and downloadable content about the tasks to complete each week. I can't wait to get started!
I've gone for a course in 'Making the Perfect Landscape Photograph' as I feel this is something that I can get out and photograph around my local area. I'd like to improve my landscape photography so that I can take more than snapshots on my travels. My tutor will be renowned landscape photographer Sue Bishop, and the site has a whole host of other brilliant tutors, including wildlife photographer Heather Angel.
I'll be writing a weekly diary on how I get on with the course, and how easy I find the site and interactive features to use. Look out for my first entry, coming soon!
