A series of photographs from Sir Elton John's private collection documenting the life of photographer Nan Goldin from 1973 -1999, is set to be shown in public for the first ever time at the Baltic Centre in Gateshead.
Thanksgiving is a micro-retrospective installation of photographs documenting the artist’s life from 1973 to 1999. The installation immerses us in Goldin’s world, recording friends and lovers and her own intimate history.
Elton's photography started in 1991 while attending a photography festival in France, where he first began to appreciate photography as an art form. The series will be shown from the 21st September and run until 6th January at the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art in Tyne and Wear.
