New Intuos Tablet Range From Wacom

Wacom introduces its next generation of Intuos tablet range at the IFA show in Berlin.

Wacom Intuos Tablet


Wacom has today launched the next generation of its Intuos product family. The new range of Intuos Pen & Touch tablets consist of four models: Intuos Art, Intuos Comic, Intuos Photo and Intuos Draw (pen only). Each model includes free creative software as well as additional training and offers. The pen tablets, which have an ergonomic design, come in two different sizes (small and medium), a choice of colours (white, blue and black) and a pen or ‘pen & touch’ version – with a wireless connection kit as an optional accessory.

The new range offers 1,024 pen pressure-sensitivity levels, multi-touch capability that allows users to zoom and rotate their work easily and four customisable ExpressKeys. 


Wacom Intuos TabletIntuos Draw

This tablet is designed for beginners and is available in small (white and blue) pen only versions. Users also gain access to ArtRage Lite and free tutorials. The Intuos Draw is available for £54.99.

Intuos Art

For users with more advanced painting and artistic skills, the Intuos Art offers a wide variety of painting styles and brushes available on the pen tablet’s free accompanying software package - Corel Painter Essentials. The tablet is available in small (black and blue) and medium (black and blue). The small version is priced at £74.99 while the medium tablet is available for £149.99. 

Intuos Photo

The pressure sensitive pen that comes with the Intuos Photo offers a new level of accuracy and control. Available in small (black), the Intuos Photo is accompanied by Corel PaintShop Pro and Corel AfterShot Pro for Windows users, and Macphun Creative Kit and Corel AfterShot Pro for Mac users. The Intuos Photo is priced at £74.99

Intuos Comic

This tablet is specifically designed for comic fans and Clip Studio Paint Pro as well as Anime Studio are available to download free with this tablet. The Intuos Comic is available in small (black and blue) for £74.99.

I'd like to see Wacom produce a side by side comparison e.g. an Intuos Photo vs Bamboo comparison to see whether an upgrade looks needed, the only gripe i have with the bamboo is that it seems like a lot of pressure is needed to draw dark lines.
