New iPhone SE Smartphone Is An Affordable iPhone With Cool Camera Features That's On Pre-Order Now

Apple made a surprise announcement late last week with the introduction of the new iPhone SE which updates the original iPhone SE from 2016 and is targeted at those who don't want to spend over £1000 on a smartphone. 

The new mid-range smartphone from Apple has just the one camera on the rear but Apple says it's the 'best single-camera system ever in an iPhone' and it features a 12MP f/1.8 wide-angle lens. Modes built-in include a Portrait mode, including portrait lighting effects/depth control, and a Smart HDR mode for better handling of highlights and shadows. The rear camera supports 4K video capture up to 60fps and there's also a QuickTake video option so you can capture video in Photo mode. 

Other features of the iPhone SE include a 4.7-inch Retina HD display, A13 Bionic chip and iOS 13. There's no in-screen fingerprint sensor so to unlock the SE you have to use the Home button built into the wide bottom bezel. The top bezel is also chunkier than we've seen on other new smartphones but it does feel very familiar, sharing its design with older iPhone models such as the iPhone 8 Plus.
