New Kodak PIXPRO 360 4K VR Camera In Development

Kodak has announced the development of a new 360°, 4K camera that will take their 360° action cam tally to three models. 

The new Kodak PIXPRO 360 4K VR camera (4KVR360) is a compact, single-body design which features two 4K fixed focus lenses on either side of the camera body. Previously, you had to purchase an SP360 dual pack to achieve the 360x360 degree view once the videos were stitched together.

The 4KVR360 will feature a 20MP CMOS sensor and use a Micro SD card (up to 128GB) to record 360° content. The 4KVR360 camera will incorporate WiFi and NFC compatibility for Smart device APPs to control and view the camera remotely. The 4KVR360 will also feature Bluetooth compatibility in an optional remote control device that can be worn to easily control the camera remotely.

The latest 360° camera from Kodak is designed to be even easier to use with three recording modes and internal stitching so users don't have to learn how to stitch content together on a computer is they don't want to. There's also a high-resolution mode and the camera captures 16:9 4K video.

The 4KVR360 will enter the market with a base MSRP of 499 € and will follow the existing KODAK PIXPRO 360° models with optional bundles that include valuable accessories and complimentary PIXPRO software for editing and stitching on Mac and PCs.
