theprintspace had added a brand new buying and selling platform to their website. Called the marketplace, the new platform enables anybody to buy and sell second hand camera equipment in a completely safe and trustworthy environment.

Marketplace is completely free, and doesn't charge any fees for use.

Geri Tuneva, head of marketing for theprintspace, says the new site is for anyone, selling anything photographic: "You don’t have to be a client of theprintspace to create an account on the marketplace. It is a service like Gumtree, except without all the spammy ads, as we moderate all of the listings before they go live."

She is keen to reassure customers that the site will only sell the highest quality equipment too: "theprintspace marketplace is essentially from professional photographers for professional photographers. You can be sure that all equipment listed on our site will be of the highest quality, and will be looked after by the previous owner. It is a service that can be trusted, as it has been devised entirely for the benefit of the photographic community."

Marketplace is one of a growing number of online websites that is solely for second hand photographic equipment. "Many of our clients, and many photographers have mentioned that they have lots of gear they’d like to sell so that they can buy new gear, but just don’t have an outlet where they can easily sell it," Geri explains. "Places like Gumtree and eBay exist, but they’re riddled with spam and have a very difficult to use interface. theprintspace marketplace provides a slick and easy-to-use interface – and it takes literally 5 minutes to create your account and then upload your listing to the marketplace."

Geri is confident that marketplace will enhance theprintspace, which is based in London and offers a wide range of professional quality printing, framing and mounting for its clients: "We like to have this personal relationship with our clients, and now we will be able to offer them even more! A new platform for something really exciting that will benefit the community greatly."
