Nano Plus Stand

Manfrotto has introduced 2 new lighting stands to its wide range of lighting & camera accessories. Plus, there's a new Cold Shoe Tilt-Head available.

Carbon Nanopole Stand

The Carbon Nanopole Stand is Manfrotto's lightest Nano Stand ever and it's tailored to photographers, videographers and content creators that are looking for ways to downsize their gear and travel lighter while the Nano Plus Stand is Manfrotto's strongest Nano Stand ever, tailored for the most demanding photographer, videographers and content creators working in the studio or on location.

Thanks to its lightweight aluminium base and carbon fibre column the Carbon Nanopole Stand is the perfect support for small lighting equipment up to 1.5kg such as speedlights and LED lights.

The compact folded length of just 51cm makes the Carbon Nanopole Stand suitable for carry on luggage or ideal for those with very limited carrying space. It even slides neatly into the tripod pouch on the side of most camera bags to ensure the user can keep their kit compact and travel light without compromising on their lighting kit requirements.

The Carbon Nanopole features a useful levelling leg, allowing the user to maintain a stable vertical lighting support even in challenging environments such as uneven ground, inner-city streets or even rocky hillsides. For added safety, the base also features a hook to be used with a sandbag in order to weigh it down when used outdoors. This versatile light stand features multiple attachment options including a stainless steel 16mm (5/8") spigot with a 3/8" thread plus a removable 1/4" thread adapter allowing secure attachment of a wide range of lighting tools. It also has a removable carbon fibre centre column featuring quick release twist locks, which can also be used as a handheld boom.

The Carbon Nanopole Stand (MS0490C) will be available in October and has an RRP of £144.95.

Manfrotto Cold Shoe Tilt Head

Manfrotto has launched the Manfrotto MLH1HS-2 Cold Shoe Tilt Head which replaces the MLH1HS Snap Tilt head.

Maintaining the key features that made the Snap Tilt head so popular, the new tilt head features a number of new and improved features offering amended functionality including:

  • Redesigned umbrella hole now angled so speedlights can be positioned more centrally towards the middle of the umbrella for more even distribution of light.
  • Increased locking torque on the tilt knob ensuring a secure tilt position, critical to prevent any movement of the angle of the light during a shoot.
  • New locking mechanism to allow the use of any stand or accessory using a 5/8” (16mm) spigot.
  • Manufactured in Italy to the highest standards.

Manfrotto's innovative counterbalance mechanism remains a key feature of the Cold Shoe Tilt head, providing maximum safety due to its spring-loaded system which prevents any attached accessories from accidentally falling and potentially getting damaged.

With a notable maximum payload of 2 kg, the Manfrotto Cold Shoe Tilt Head can comfortably support the latest professional lightweight portable lighting equipment including flash and LED without compromise, even when paired with a modifier.

The unique smart locking ring of the Manfrotto Cold Shoe Tilt Head allows the user to easily and securely, fasten their chosen accessories.

Simply unscrew the ring to open the shoe, slide in the accessory, then tighten the ring to lock the cold shoe attachment ready to begin shooting quickly and safely.

The Cold Shoe Tilt Head (MLH1HS-2) will be available in October with an RRP of £36.95.
