At an event held at Nikon Photo School, Nikon welcomed three new ambassadors into the Nikon UK ambassadors program. The new Nikon Ambassadors: Jeremy Walker, Leon Neal, and David Yarrow were on hand to talk about their photography and the Nikon Ambassadors program, along with current Nikon Ambassadors including Bob Martin and Kate Hopewell-Smith.

We spoke to Bob Martin - He has been a Nikon Ambassador for 1 year and as a sports photographer shoots the Olympics, Wimbledon, and advises the Olympic teams throughout the World. He is shooting this years upcoming Wimbledon event, and is involved in the Nikon DSLR systems, which include creating time-lapse videos of the event using robotics systems

We spoke to Kate Hopewell-Smith - an existing Nikon Ambassador and lifestyle photographer. She has a passion for photographing people and believes to successfully photograph people you need to make connections and build relationships. She shoots portraits, wedding and boudoir. She trains photographers for Nikon UK, and Aspire Photography Training.

We spoke to Jeremy Walker - A new Nikon Ambassador chosen for his work in landscape and architectural photography. He has been a photographer for over 20 years, and has become one of the UK's top landscape photographers, producing inspirational panoramic images.

Also at the event was David Yarrow - another new Nikon Ambassador who was named as 'Young Scottish Photographer of the Year' aged 20, he covered the World Cup for The Times, producing the iconic image of Maradona holding the trophy in celebration. He now shoots remote landscapes and endangered animals. He is the author of fine-art photography books: 'Nowhere' (2007), and 'Encounter' (2013). Encounter won the Spear's Book Award.

Leon Neal - is another new Nikon Ambassador, and said becoming a Nikon Ambassador "is a huge honour and one that I take very seriously." Leon studied journalism in Sheffield, and is a news photographer with a wealth of experience and a staff photographer for AFP News. Leon started his career at The Times and has since built up a vast collection of news and press images.

Nikon Ambassadors are selected from a shortlist of photographers who Nikon recognise as some of the best photographers in their respective fields, and are then invited by Nikon to join the program.
