If you enjoy capturing images of plants and flowers with your macro lenses then you may find a new app from PlantNet useful.

Knowing what species of plant you're capturing images of can be handy to know for cataloging data and with the PlantNet app, you can take a picture of the plant you're photographing and it will help you identify what it is.

The app collects its data from users who upload images and information about plants into an online database which means it's forever evolving.

The PlantNet app is available for both iOS and Android for free via iTunes and the Google Play store
