AF-S NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8E ED VR

Creating Nikkor lenses is a very precise and painstaking process. Accuracy of the actions such as polishing the lens can vary daily according to temperature and humidity. Thsi si why it is such a major feat the Nikon is celebrating the manufacture of 100 million lenses

Nikon uses Meisters - experts in their field that are accredited to test lenses to the highest standards. Accuracy down to the micron is keenly valued and by placing the Meisters strategically, Nikon can make high-quality lenses on a mechanised level.

Meisters are in charge of quality control, and have to inspect each lens element to make sure it's of the highest standard. The quality of NIKKOR lenses can only be realised through the fusion of technology and the human eye.

Nikon adjust and inspect all optical components as well as create a sensory evaluation of all these products. Until this has been done, you can't mass produce a product. all elements, including optical and mechanical adjustment and the ordering of processes have been skillfully combined.

Efforts to create the best lens possible have culminated in the AF-S Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8E ED VR, which Nikon designers say offers the best performance of any normal zoom lens currently available.
