Digital SLRs

Nikon has announced firmware updates for three of its DSLRs and the P7700 advanced compact camera.

The firmware updates are for the D300, D300s and D700, and give added support for the Nikkor 800mm f/5.6E FL ED VR lens.

The updates for each camera can be downloaded here:
The firmware update for the P7700 fixes a problem with ISO in manual mode. Nikon state: "When shooting with shooting mode set to M (manual), ISO sensitivity set to Auto, ISO 80-200, ISO 80-400, or ISO 80-800 and the flash used, ISO sensitivity was sometimes not locked at ISO 80 and a different ISO sensitivity was sometimes applied. This issue has been resolved."

You can download the Nikon P7700 update here.

All of Nikon's firmware updates are available to download on the Nikon USA support site.
